“Bee and PuppyCat” Cast and Creator
Posing at Friday’s recording session at Salami Studios in North Hollywood. In the back row we’ve got Tiny Kitten Teeth’s Frank Gibson, Tom “Heffer Wolfe” Kenny, and Uncle Kent Osborne. The ladies are creator Natasha Allegri and the hardest-working woman in commercials, Allyn Rachel. A good time was had by all. Thanks, Kent, for directing.
One more actor to record, and we’re good to make those animatics.

Natasha and Marina
We can only hope you’ll be as happy at some point in your life as Natasha was this morning working with Marina Sirtis on “Bee and PuppyCat.” Marina (not a psychic counselor in real life, it turns out) plays a pair of roles in part two.
On to the animatics. We’re aiming to air these in late winter on Cartoon Hangover.

I assume this goes without saying for all small pets (and babies) that if you hold them too high, they’ll walk all over you (literally… and I suppose figuratively too).

Natasha’s Bravest Warriors Storyboard Revisions
So the work on her own “Bee and PuppyCat” isn’t Natasha Allegri’s first for Cartoon Hangover. She actually helped on the “Butter Lettuce” episode of Bravest Warriors with storyboard revisions (the job she has over on Adventure Time). Thanks, Natasha.

CARTOON HANGOVER fan art!
I know all these lovely people, they are good friends. The first image is Grotessa and Grotus from “SUPERF*CKERS” James Kochalka is a recent friend I’ve made. He is super nice and sweet and an elf.
The second image is Wallow from “BRAVEST WARRIORS” He is voiced by Ian J, a longtime friend of mine. We were teenage knuckleheads back in the early internet days. He drew a Klurf once!
The third image is ROCKET DOG from “ROCKET DOG” by the fun fun Melaphantastic! We became fast Tumblr buddies since we both love making insanely detailed GIFs. She also drew a Klurf once!
The last image is Bee and Puppycat from “BEE AND PUPPYCAT” by another new friend Natasha Allegri. She is SO NICE. Her doodles make me smile.
You should watch all these shows (or read the production blogs for Bee And Puppycat and Rocket Dog since they are still in production.) Support these guys because their stuff is wonderful and they’re my friends so IF YOU LIKE ME then YOU SHOULD LIKE THEM. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
hooray Shmorky!
Um, potential stupid question inbound! ^_^; I think the character designs are quite nice, but I have looked and looked up and down Google and such places and been unable to find out exactly what Bee & Puppycat are from? Is it a show that's not been released to the public yet or what's the story there? Sorry if this is silly, I just can't think of a better way to find out. :s
Bee and Puppycat is a brand new, original show currently in production. It is part of a series of short films called Too Cool! Cartoons which will begin sometime early next year.

Allegri Gender Swaps “Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake”
Okay, so while Natasha’s busy working on her “Bee and PuppyCat” cartoons for Cartoon Hangover along with her day job over on Adventure Time, she’s also been up to her ears writing and drawing half a dozen Fionna and Cake comics for our pals at BOOM! As an extra kick, Nat’s sat down with Ryan Ingram for Comic Book Resources to talk about the comics - the very ones which will be in your mitts next month.
The artist, who has been hooked on comics since she first read “Garfield” in elementary school, also cites “Sailor Moon,” Rumiko Takahashi’s “Rumic Theater” and “Mermaid Saga” as big influences. “Comics are my first love. I wanted to do comics initially when I was in school and then I strayed into animation somehow,” Allegri explained, adding that she appreciates the change of pace involved in breaking down stories into sequential form instead of being forced to “show everything” like in animation.
And while you’re encouraged to patronize your local comics shop in January, there’s also a pre-order for Fionna and Cake comics at BOOM!
